Hitesh Ankeshwarapu

Flutter developer, building mobile apps and the shared code inside them.

Five years building mobile apps at Sutherland Global Services, SuneraTech and Ezshipp — plus two free code packages I published that other developers now use inside their own apps.

Context

I build mobile apps and publish the code inside them.

I’m Ankeshwarapu Hitesh, a Flutter developer in Hyderabad. Five years across an enterprise services firm, a product company and a logistics startup — migrating legacy Android and Xamarin apps to Flutter, then maintaining the low-level packages those apps ended up needing.

1.1

Building large mobile apps

Flutter and Dart apps for big companies, organised so they stay easy to change as they grow. One shared codebase serves many different clients, each with its own way of working.

Free packages other developers use

I have published two packages on pub.dev, the official site where Flutter developers share code. One lets an app talk to a Microsoft SQL Server database on five platforms; the other stores an app's logs in far less space. Both are downloaded and used every month.

Agentic AI in the delivery loop

Claude Code, Codex, Devin and Windsurf wired into daily engineering work — with prompt and context engineering used to hold enterprise code quality while compressing the schedule.

Proof

Numbers with a source attached.

Every number here comes from work that shipped. The last column says exactly where each one came from, so none of it has to be taken on trust.

02.1 — Measured results
NumberWhat it isWhere it comes from
160/160package quality scoreA full score for ctls_logging on pub.dev — the official site where Flutter developers publish and download shared code.
140/140package quality scoreA full score for mssql_connection on pub.dev.
1.7k+downloads every monthOther developers install mssql_connection and use it inside their own apps.
66%less time to deliverA project planned for three months, finished in one at Sutherland, using AI coding assistants.
5platforms from one codebasemssql_connection runs on Windows, Android, iOS, macOS and Linux without a separate version for each.
15+screens rebuiltOlder Android and Xamarin screens moved over to Flutter at SuneraTech.
30%faster appMeasured across those rebuilt screens, before and after.
40%quicker to openAlongside 25% less memory used, after tuning the app's performance.
45%fewer crashesThe Ezshipp delivery app, after I fixed more than ten major bugs.
50krows/sec bulk insertThe bulk-save path (BCP) in mssql_connection, writing records in batches.
80×fewer trips to the databaseSending records grouped together instead of one at a time — far less waiting on the network.
<1µsper log writeUnder a millionth of a second — ctls_logging writes straight into memory instead of to a file.
70%+less storage used by logsCompression built into ctls_logging, so apps can keep far more history.

Selected work

Five things I built, with the detail attached.

Open any row to see what the work actually involved. Two of these are free packages anyone can download and use today.

A system that tracks products from the factory to the shop shelf, across phone, desktop, web and cloud. I build the mobile side of it in Flutter.

  • Clients include Boat, VGuard, Crompton, Orient, Valvoline and Gulf Oil
  • Every client tracks goods differently, and all of it is handled from one shared codebase
  • Built in reusable pieces, so a new client does not mean starting again
  • Kept it fast and responsive even when handling very large amounts of data

Track record

Three companies, one discipline.

A large services company, a product company and an early-stage delivery startup. In every one of them, the job started by moving an existing app over to Flutter.

  • Delivered a complete Flutter app in one month against a three-month plan — 66% faster — using agentic AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Devin)
  • Mentored junior developers who were new to Flutter, through regular teaching sessions
  • Delivered a critical client demo module independently inside 48 hours
  • Built and maintained a testing setup, driven from Excel, that checks the app end to end
  • Stepped in on backend API work when the team was short-handed
